We’re having a single informal performance on Saturday, October 19th, at 8:30 at the Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance.  If you are a choreographer or dancer who has participated in a past production of the Jazz Project, we invite you to submit a piece that is at least two minutes and no more than eight minutes long—a piece you’ve done for us before or a work in progress is fine.  We’ll accept between eight and 10 pieces (depending on length).  After the performance, the audience will give you feedback on your work.

If you would like to be considered for the October show, the submission deadline is Sunday, September 8th.  We will need:

  • a video of your piece.  Rehearsal footage is fine, and we don’t need to see the whole piece, just enough so we can see the style, mood, etc.
  • the length the piece will be when it’s performed
  • the approximate number of dancers

All choreographers must be available for the tech rehearsal on Friday, October 18th, from 8 p.m. to midnight and will be required to participate in the post-performance discussion.  If your piece is accepted, please be prepared to sign and return the letter of agreement and choreographer release very quickly.  For questions or submissions, please e-mail Marian@jazzchoreographyenterprises.org
